Abstarct: Abstract This study was performed to investigate the effect of cold plasma (CP) and salicylic acid (SA) (in both normal and nano forms) on seed germination, growth and some phytochemical and morphophysiological traits of Noruzak , which included four separate experiments that were performed in the laboratory, greenhouse and farm at Tehran province during the 2018-2019. The first experiment: In this study, the effect of seed situation ( normal and uncoated seeds with hydro prime and normal and uncoated seeds without hydro-prime), CP (using surface power densities of 80 and 100 W, with exposure times of 0, 120, 180, and 240 s) were evaluated on germination traits and enzyme activity of seeds and seedling growth of Noruzak in the Laboratory as factorial experiment with three replications. The results showed that the highest percentage germination (GP) and germination rate (GR), seedl vigor (SV) I and II, seedling dry weight (SDW), catalase activity (CAT) and malondialdehyde (MDA) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) content belonged to hydro-primed uncoated seeds with 100 w for 240 s treatments. The second experiment: This experiment was carried out to study of the germination traits and enzyme activity of seeds and seedling growth of Noruzak in the Laboratory as factorial experiment with three replications. The experimental factors included: seed situation (normal and uncoated seeds), CP (0 and 100 w) and pretreatment with salicylic acid (0, 1.5 and 2 in two forms of micro (SA) and nanoparticle (nSA)). Application of CP had no significant effect on measured phytochemical and physiological traits of Salvia. The removal of the seed coats had positive effect on GP (13.2%), GR (16.7%), SVI (23.1%), SV (28.6%), SDW (22.5%) and H2O2 than normal seeds. Application of 2 mgl-1 nSA increased the GP, GR, SVI of salvia as well as the growth parameters seedling length,SDWt, and α-amylase (19.4%), CAT (20.86%), SOD activity (5.7%), MDA (25%) and H2O2 (6%) content compared to control. The third experiment: in this experiment, effect of seed pretreatment with cold plasma (0 and 100 w for 240s) and salicylic acid (0 and 2 mgl-1 salicylic acid in normal and nanoparticle form) and foliar application of (0 and 2 mgl-1 salicylic acid in normal and nanoparticle form) were investigated on growth, physiological and phytochemical characteristics of Norozak in the greenhouse. The results showed that pretreatment with SA and foliar application of SA and nSA increased plant height (27/8%), leaf length (90%), chlorophyll a and b, total phenol (320%) and caffeic acid of leaves in non-use cold plasma condition. While, the use of cold plasma increased the seedling fresh and dry weight, phenylalanine ammonialyase (227/7%) and tyrosine ammonialyase (227%) in pretreatment with SA and foliar application of SA and nSA treatments compared to control. The highest rosmarinic (75.4 mg/gr DW) and salvianolic acid 88.2 mg/gr FW) of leaves were observed in the control treatment. The fourth experiment: In order to investigate the effect of CP and SA on the production of secondary mextabolites and morphophysiological parametere of Nowrozak of medicinal plant, an experiment was performed in the farm with three factors: This experiment was conducted with the same treatments as the third experiment in the field. The results showed that nSA-FA and pretreatment of SA and nSA increased the plant height, leaf length, plant dry weight, total phenol and tyrosine ammonialyase activity of leaves in application of cold plasma and plant fresh weight in non-use cold plasma treatment compared to control. While, the non-use of cold plasma treatment increased the chlorophyll a and b, in pretreatment with SA without FA and phenylalanine ammonialyase activity in nSA- FA treatment. The highest rosmarinic and salvianolic acid of leaves were observed in the control and showed an increase of 266 and 242 percent compared to the treatment of CP, pretreatment and foliar spraying with nSA, respectively. Generally, baxsed on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the use of uncoated seed, seed pre-treatment with SA (normal and nano form), with nSA-FA at a concentration of 2 mgl-1 in combination with power of 100 w CP for 240s can have a positive and effective role in improving the germination, growth and qualitative traits of Norozak.
